Lunch at Franky Fresh

Franky Fresh entered Hawaii's dining scene in August of last year. Nadia was quick to check them out when they first opened (click here for her post), and her pics of the Fresh Prince burger and milkshake got my mouth watering.

Fast forward ten months, and I finally made it here, since they recently expanded their hours to include lunch service starting at 12 PM.  The nice thing about coming here for lunch versus dinner, is that it's not as crowded, and it's easier to get parking.

I ordered the Fresh Prince since it's their most popular burger and it has all of the fixins that I like (portobello mushrooms, grilled onions, bacon, melted swiss cheese and grass fed beef).

The only thing that I was disappointed about was the size of the burger. It was small considering the $15 price tag.  Back when Nadia visited Franky Fresh, this same burger was only $12.95.

French Fries
The french fries that came with the burger were hot and crispy.

My Yelp buddy FC ordered the Chicken Thangs which comprised of four fat bone-in chicken pieces, marinated in a sweet chili sauce, presented over a bed of fries.  He liked it a lot and wished it came with more chicken. :)

I didn't order a milkshake, because frankly, I didn't want to pay $7.95 for it! I saw the size of the milkshakes on other tables and thought it was small for the price.

Bottom line? Great tasting food, but small portions.
