DeBartolo Development Announces New Restaurants and Specialty Food Tenants Coming to Ka Makana Ali`i

DeBartolo Development announced today the latest round of restaurants and specialty food tenants to join Ka Makana Ali`i, the 1.4 million-square-foot regional mall currently under construction in West Oahu and scheduled to make its debut this fall.

Known internationally for its delicious Korean fried chicken and Asian fusion fare, Bonchon will be opening its first Hawaii location at Ka Makana Ali`i. The popular Korean chain prides itself on perfecting the recipe for Korean fried chicken – one of the country’s favorite comfort foods – and sharing it with the world.

Sura Hawaii is previously known as 678 Hawaii with its main restaurant located across the Hawaii Convention Center. Voted one of the top Korean BBQ restaurants in America by Tabelog, Sura Hawaii will be serving its fresh grilled meats and vegetables, as well as delicious soups and bibimbap.

Also coming to Ka Makana Ali`i is Filipino fast-food chain Jollibee, which will offer its popular burgers, fried chicken, spaghetti, and other customer favorites.

Local favorite Diamond Head Cove Health Bar is expanding to West Oahu with a new store called Da Cove. Like the company’s original location on Monsarrat Avenue, Da Cove will feature acai bowls, smoothies, juices, wraps, salads, kava, and live music on select dates.

Magnolia Ice Cream is bringing the flavors of the South Pacific to Ka Makana Ali`i and will offer frozen desserts and its trademark tropical ice cream.

Also expanding to Kapolei are Infinitea, Papa John’s Pizza, and Yummy Korean BBQ.

“Our restaurants and specialty food tenants will bring a collection of diverse tastes to West Oahu, and ensure Ka Makana Ali`i’s Food Market will be a great place where shoppers can dine in or grab something on the go,” said Edward Kobel, President and Chief Operating Officer of DeBartolo Development.

Ka Makana Ali`i will be the first shopping center built on Oahu in more than three decades and the only regional mall being developed in West Oahu with department and specialty stores.
