Every year I treat @WeHeartHawaii to lunch for his birthday. This year he chose Kyung's Seafood. It's been years since I last visited Kyung's, so I was excited to revisit this place to see if it is as good as it was before, and it is! Prices are about the same as Yummy's, but the quality is 100x times better here at Kyung's.
Kyung's specializes in two things - Korean food, and FRESH poke. Brandon decided to get a little of both by ordering the Chicken and Poke plate. If you take a good look at the poke below, notice how there are no white strings - that's a sign of good cuts of ahi. :)
I ordered the chicken / meat jun / mandoo plate, because I wanted to save some of it for my sons' dinner later on that evening. At only $13.95, it's a steal. Portions are so generous that you can easily make two meals out of it, which I did!

And in case you were wondering, @WeHeartHawaii also had to take some of his food home.
Next time we'll have go to with more people so that we can order one of their legendary sashimi platters. Their platters start at $30 for a small and consist of bite size pieces of ultra fresh ahi, salmon, and hamachi sashimi.
They also have an impressive drink menu, and I've been told the soju is a must!
Find them on the corner of South King Street and Birch Street. They have a few parking spaces in the back of the building (Birch is a one-way towards King Street, so you'd need to approach it from the makai side via Elm Street). There also metered street parking on South King Street (beware of tow-away times).
UPDATE:
I loved the food so much that I returned the following week with another friend, and instead of ordering a combo plate that came with just 2 pieces of mandoo, I ordered an entire plate of mandoo to supplement our main entrees. :)
