Muffin Tin Cheeseburgers

Here is a super fun twist on regular cheeseburgers - Muffin Tin Cheeseburgers!

I followed the recipe on the Betty Crocker website.

They were simple to make, and they were also a hit with the kiddos!

Muffin Tin Cheeseburgers (original recipe found on Betty Crocker)

Ingredients:
  • 1 T butter, melted
  • 6 hamburger buns, split
  • 3 slices thick-cut bacon, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 c chopped white onion
  • 1/2 t salt
  • ketchup
  • 3 slices American cheese
Directions

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Brush 12 regular-size muffin cups with melted butter.
  • Press a half of each bun, cut side up, into each muffin cup, pressing down until about 1/4 inch thick.  Set aside.
  • Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp.  Drain on paper towels, and discard all but 1 T of the drippings.
  • Add beef, onion and salt to drippings in skillet; heat to medium-high heat. Cook 5 to 7 minutes, until beef is browned an no longer pink; drain.
  • Divide mixture evenly amongst muffin cups.
  • Top each with a squirt of ketchup.
  • Cut each slice of cheese into 4 pieces, and place a piece of cheese atop each muffin cup.
  • Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  • Garnish with bacon.
