Burgers and Things

Just off the Pali exit is Burgers and Things - a small, inconspicuous eatery, where diners devour burgers amongst superhero and video game action figures that adorn the counters. These burgers have garnered rave reviews online, including a verbal "5-star" review from the building manager, whom I met when I went to Burgers and Things earlier this week for a photo shoot.

The burger menu consists of:

The Originals:
Juicy Burger - Braised in House Made Jus

Teri Burger - Juicy Burger in House Made Teriyaki Sauce

The Specialties:
Un-Foie-Gettable - Kauai Beef Braised in Foie Gras Demi, Truffle Mayo

Lamb Bam Thank You Ma`am - Niihau Lamb, Bacon Apple Jam, Honey Pesto

Wagyu Say - Wagyu Beef Medium Rare with Sauteed Mushrooms, Onions, Creamy Horseradish
The burgers sure looked amazing!  I'm not a burger eater, but my husband is, and I took home the very popular lamb burger for him to try.

He loved it, acknowledging how juicy the burger was, and how he really enjoyed the honey pesto.

Thankfully, there are a few options for those who don't eat burgers, such as salads and sandwiches.

Don't Go Bacon My Heart - Candied Rosemary Bacon, Lettuce Tomato

Ernesto Pesto - Honey Pesto Chicken Salad with Swiss

I really enjoyed both sandwiches (also available on the regular sandwich menu is a Zucchini Got Me and Turnado), but my fave was the Pesto.

The sandwich is named after Ernesto Limcaco, chef and co-founder of Burgers and Things. The pesto and all of the sauces and dressings used in the burgers and salads are housemade.

If you're craving something sweet after that juicy burger or savory sandwich, try one of the amazing Campfire Cookies if they're available - a S'mores-type cookie complete with an ooey, gooey marshmallow center.
