Da Hawaiian Poke Company

We had just spent a morning at the Honolulu Zoo and were looking for a place to pick up lunch on the way home. As we were heading up Kapahulu Avenue towards the freeway, I told the hubby that we should check out Da Hawaiian Poke Company, so we hung a left into the Safeway parking lot, unloaded the boys and headed into the shop.

Da Hawaiian Poke Company has a lot of variations of poke to choose from.  As far as poke bowls goes, you can either create your own, or order one of their signature poke bowls. Prices range from about $7 to $22.  They also have a handful of plate lunches on the menu.

Over 15 toppings to choose from!

They also sell logo items.

Here's a snapshot of my small poke bowl with shoyu poke (I asked them to  make it without the limu) and an edamame quinoa salad, on top of sushi rice.  $11.  The portion was a little small for the price, but it was very tasty and I wouldn't mind coming back to order it again.

This place is take-out only, but they do have some tables and chairs outside if you want to enjoy your poke bowl on the spot.
