Dinner at Namioto in the 808 Center

Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen (half)

Located in the 808 Center in the former Urban Bistro space, Namioto is a Japanese restaurant serving kushikatsu (fried skewered items), teppan (from the grill), ramen, and more.

The kushikatsu is ordered by the piece and a little pricey, but fried perfectly.  It's served with a thin sauce that tastes like a sweet tonkatsu sauce.  My favorite kushikatsu was the mochi!  I also really liked the gyoza with a spicy aioli sauce and the spicy ramen.

Service was pretty slow as there was only one server and it did take awhile for all the food to come out.  However, the biggest let down was that the restaurant charges for hot tea refills...at $4 a refill.  One of my friends paid $16 for hot tea.

But other than that, we had a nice dinner.
