Paradise Pedals

For my 40th birthday, I wanted to do something fun and out of the ordinary so my sweetest friend booked Paradise Pedals Hawaii for our party of 16.  The idea is to pedal with your group to three local brewpubs and bars for about 40 minutes each to enjoy a drink and appetizer at each stop.  You can either sign up for the tour and pedal with people from around the world or book the entire bike for a private party.

We signed up for the kaka'ako bar tour where you have to be 21 and older to participate, but the company also offers a morning tour (ages 12 and older) and a custom tour.  Our group met and parked at Makers and Tasters at 4pm on a Sunday, signed waivers, and were off by 4:15pm.

What you need to know is that there is NO motor at all on the bike and only 10 seats have pedal power. The bike needs a minimum of 6 passengers to power the bike and the first 4 seats near the driver are adjustable so your shorter bikers will need to sit there.

I'm not going to lie, pedaling was challenging and my thighs were burning, but it was super fun to do as a group.  Our driver was super sweet and had a great play list to keep us motivated.

We ended up stopping at Doraku and Panya and had ample time at each stop.  We really had the best time and I would recommend it to anyone looking for some fun.
