Visit San Francisco: Madame Tussauds

A visit to Madame Tussauds San Francisco involves more than just seeing lifelike wax figures and taking photos with them.

You can also rub elbows with celebrities, rock out with your favorite musicians, and compete against top athletes through the many interactive exhibits.

Immediately upon entering, visitors are greeted by Tony Bennett at Lombard Street, along with numerous other people, places, and things that are the Spirit of San Francisco.

The next group of wax figures belonged to the History and Leaders collection, which include current and past Presidents, leaders in the tech industry (i.e. Steve Jobs), and historical figures (i.e. Rosa Parks).

Abraham Lincoln, George Washington
One of my kids' favorite sections was Sports, where they could putt with Tiger Woods, defend against Stephen Curry, and even practice their quarterback skills.

In Music, we got up close and personal with legendary musicians such as Beyonce and Madonna, and the kids even performed with Elton John and Jimi Hendrix!

In Film, you could not only see stars and directors, as well as popular movie characters, but you could also put yourself in a movie scene of E.T. the Extra Terrestrial, Psycho, or Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Finally, in A-List Party, you can mix and mingle with some of the hottest celebrities in town, such as Neil Patrick Harris and Jennifer Aniston!  I admit I got a little giddy seeing the figure of a certain A-Lister - I even took a photo next to him (hint: he starred in ER!)

The likeness of the wax figures to their real-life counterparts was amazing.  The details of each figure - the hair color, the eye color, the clothing, the poses - were just so impressive!  I also thought the sets and props throughout the various collections were great and added to the experience.

The tour through Madame Tussauds San Francisco is self-guided, so you can take as long as you please.

We got a kick out of taking photos with the various celebrities, and the numerous interactive exhibits made the visit that much more fun.
Loved the many photo ops and interactive exhibits!
