About two decades ago, while planning a trip to Maui, my former co-worker kept suggesting that I dine at Tasty Crust for breakfast. I don't remember what I ordered, but I do remember having a nice dining experience and how the restaurant was indeed a popular spot for breakfast (its tagline is "World Famous Pancakes").
On our most recent trip to the island, we decided to dine there for brunch after arriving in Maui.

Breakfast is served all day, and although I love breakfast, I was craving comfort food after being sick earlier in the week and then having a very stressful end to the week. I ordered a Small Saimin, a side of French Fries, and a side of Gravy (you can also order it "sloppy" - poured over your fries, or mac salad, or anything you wish!). Everything was just so yummy. The saimin was tasty, and the fries plus gravy - so addicting!
Two of my kids shared a regular order (two pieces) of the Banana Pancakes, along with a side of Bacon.
My middle son loves omelettes, so he created his own with ham, mushrooms, and green onions. He ordered it with a side of Fried Rice (omelettes are served a la carte).
The food at Tasty Crust was great, and so was the service!
Whether you're craving breakfast, local plate lunches, or simple, yet tasty comfort food, a visit to Tasty Crust is a must!
