Now Open: Breadshop

Christopher Sy's highly anticipated craft bakery Breadshop is now open!

You can find it on the corner of 8th and Waialae Avenues in the Finance Factors Kaimuki Center. Breadshop itself is on the 8th avenue side of the building. Free parking is available in the lot behind the building (enter on 8th avenue).

Breadshop is a small walk-up shop that sells artisan bread.  There are no seats or areas to coffice or study.  It's just a shop where you can find true artisan bread, which is a rarity in Hawaii.

Bread is made fresh daily, by hand, with only a handful of ingredients.  Since it's preservative-free, you need to slice and freeze whatever you don't consume in one or two days.

Today (opening day), they offered two types of bread - country and city, at $8.50 per loaf. The country bread has whole wheat flour and rye flour, which I'm not a big fan of, so I opted for 2 loaves of city bread.  All loaves are tastefully wrapped in paper in true artisan fashion.

Hours are currently Wednesday to Sunday, 10 am - 5 pm.
