Visit San Francisco: Joy of Eating Cafe

On our way to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, we stopped at Joy of Eating Cafe for brunch.

French Toast

Happy Face Pancake

The Joy Omelette

Toast

I ordered The Joy Omelette, which was stuffed with cheese, olives, and bacon, topped with sour cream and avocado, and accompanied by home-style potatoes and the "famous" toast.

The omelette was indeed a joy to eat.  I don't usually eat olives in my omelettes, but it was so good with all the bacon and cheese!  The home-style potatoes, were really good - I could eat an entire plate of that as a meal!  The toast was yummy too, made with house-made bread.

The French Toast is made with the same house-made bread the "famous" toast is made with.

All of my kids ate the Happy Face Pancake - a cute pancake with butter for the nose/mouth area, and grapes for the eyes.

Joy of Eating Cafe is a very popular breakfast/brunch spot.

We were very lucky to get a table immediately upon arrival - the place was packed, and the entire time we were there people kept coming and going.  It was so busy!

And it's no wonder - the food is fantastic, and the service is great.

If you're in the Vallejo area, Joy of Eating Cafe is a must-stop!
