Ham & Cheese Baked Sliders

I'm all for easy dinners that use a minimal amount of ingredients, and these Ham & Cheese Baked Sliders fit the bill!

Ham and American
The first time I made the sliders, I made some changes to the original recipe due to ingredients I didn't have on hand.  For instance, I used American cheese instead of Swiss.  I also didn't have minced dried onion, as the recipe calls for, but I simply sprinkled on some Italian season after the sliders were done baking.

The sauce brushed on the rolls really makes a difference.  It tastes so much better than just stuffing ham and cheese between the rolls.  The sweet rolls plus the buttery sauce combine to make some very tasty sliders!

The original recipe also asks to refrigerate the assembled sliders overnight before baking, but I just refrigerated for about 8 hours, and if you can't wait that long, I'm sure the sliders will still turn out fine if you don't refrigerate at all.

In fact, the second time I made the sliders, I used a similar recipe - the only difference was using onion powder instead of minced dried onion, and setting aside for 10 minutes vs refrigerating overnight.

Ham and Swiss

Both recipes were simple and delicious!
