Five stars for the most delicious egg tarts! If you can get your hands on them that is. The bakery is famous for being on vacation and a fickle schedule that there are websites and twitter accounts dedicated to whether or not the bakery is open on the daily.
So are these baked egg tarts worth the trouble? YES. It took about half an hour for us to get our hands on some egg tarts fresh out of the oven, but it was a long 30 minutes as we waited in anticipation. We just didn't know how many egg tarts were left. But luckily, tray after tray arrived even with customers ordering dozens at a time.
We immediately had one right outside the bakery and they were amazing and made all my egg tart dreams come true. They were incredible hot, but they were also very delicious cold. If egg tarts aren't your thing, the bakery also offers jin dui, rice cakes, and other Chinese pastries.
