Visit Tokyo: Tokyo DisneySea

Tokyo DisneySea, located in the Tokyo Disney Resort, is a theme park with an emphasis on all things sea-related.

Welcome to DisneySea!
There are several different themed areas, such as the Mediterranean Harbor, where we rode a Venetian Gondola through a Southern European port-town.

In Port Discovery, we spun around and zigzagged across the water on Aquatopia, and took a one-way trip on the DisneySea Electric Railway to the American Waterfront.

All aboard!
At the American Waterfront, we hopped on the DisneySea Transit Steamer Line for a quick 10-minute ride throughout a New England fishing village, and rode a Big City Vehicles early 20th century Police Wagon around the streets of New York City.

A photo taken from the DisneySea Transit Steamer - can you see the Jungle Monkey waving at us?

We did not ride Toy Story Mania! (FastPasses quickly ran out, and we were not about to wait in a line more than 2-hours long!), but there are games and photo ops to experience near the attraction.
We did not want to wait in a 2-hour + line!

Say cheese!
We also didn't ride the Tower of Terror, since no one wanted to ride it with me!  I didn't even realize the building was the Tower of Terror initially - it looked too "nice" to be terrifying!

At Lost River Delta, we used FastPasses for Indiana Jones: Temple of the Crystal Skull.

On the Arabian Coast, we took a spin on the two-story Caravan Carousel, cruised along on Sinbad's Storybook Voyage (this attraction reminded me of it's a small world), flew on Jasmine's Flying Carpet (similar to Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride, and my youngest son's favorite ride at DisneySea), and watched a 3D show at the Magic Lamp Theater.

At the very colorful and mesmerizing Mermaid Lagoon, the kids ran around through Ariel's Playground, rode on Jumpin' Jellyfish, and drifted back and forth on Scuttle's Scooters.  The indoor Triton's Kingdom was a feast for the senses, as dramatic colors and an iridescent ceiling mimicked an underwater oasis.
Love the colorful Mermaid Lagoon!

On Mysterious Island, the FastPasses were quickly depleted for Journey to the Center of the Earth, and we were not about to stand in a 2-hour line, but we did get FastPasses for 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, which is slightly reminiscent of the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage at Disneyland.

Can you see the line for 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea?

We saw many characters throughout DisneySea, including Cruella de Vil, Genie (the Genie was so funny!!), and Mr. Incredible.

We watched Fantasmic! from afar.  I thought it was a fantastic show with lots of great effects, including fireworks, lasers, and water screens (it reminded me a bit of World of Color).

To end our night at Tokyo DisneySea, we watched Happiness on High, a quick 5-minute fireworks show.

It was a nice end to our long (we spent 12 hours at Tokyo DisneySea!), exhausting, but very fun day at Tokyo DisneySea.
