Visit Tokyo: Giant Sky Wheel in Palette Town

The Giant Sky Wheel in Palette Town in Odaiba can be seen from miles away.

On a whim, since we were in the area, we decided to take a ride on this huge Ferris wheel, which measures 100 meters in diameter, and rises 115 meters above ground.

We bought a group ticket for our family of 5, which was 3080 yen (normally 920 yen per person).

We took a photo (which we later bought - we never buy souvenir photos, but my youngest thought it would be a great memory - how cute!), then boarded our gondola (there are also clear / see-through gondolas which have a wait, and we did not want to wait, so we were immediately able to board a regular gondola).

You can see a lot of Tokyo landmarks, such as the Tokyo Tower, the Tokyo Sky Tree, and the Rainbow Bridge.

Look for the heart while you're up there!

The ride takes 16 minutes.  It moved very slowly, and it wasn't scary at all.

We went as the sun was setting - the views were so pretty!

Can you see Tokyo Sky Tree?

If you find yourself with some free time while in Odaiba, take a ride on the Giant Sky Wheel!
