On a cold and rainy day in Tokyo, we visited Ueno Park, which is a popular spot for cherry blossom viewing.
The first time my husband and I went to Ueno Park, it was mid-April, and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, with pink and white everywhere we turned. On this visit, the cherry blossoms had just begun to bloom (end of March). Although the viewing was not as spectacular, it was still very pretty.
The park is huge, with lots of different areas of interest to visit, such as shrines, a pond, and a pagoda.

There are multiple food stalls throughout the park, so we decided to get some street snacks - waffles on a stick, and cherry blossom sticky rice cake!
Because of the limited time we had, and also because it was so wet and cold, we didn't stay very long at Ueno Park, but hopefully we'll go back on a nice (dry) day to explore even more!
