The Wadakura Fountain Park was renovated in 1995 to honor the wedding of the Crown Prince and Princess. The original park was built to honor the wedding of the Emperor and Empress in 1961.
The water fountains and water fall are all connected to a main fountain via four canals.
On the day we visited, the fountains were not putting on a show - perhaps they were inoperable, our timing was off, or it was just way too cold and windy to have them on.
But that was okay, because it was still nice to roam the little park. It has all kinds of cool structures, and it's such a tranquil park to just people watch or relax. In other words - it's the perfect spot to sit and rest your tired, aching feet from all the walking you've been doing in Tokyo!
