Dinner at Hula Grill Waikiki

Hula Grill Waikiki is one of my favorite restaurants to take the family to in Waikiki (the restaurant is also a client).

Earlier in the year we had breakfast there, and we recently had dinner at this oceanfront restaurant.

Complimentary bread

Dinner started off with some complimentary bread.  Dip it into the olive oil and chili pepper water (the restaurant sells the chili pepper water) - it is so addicting!

Haupia-Tini
I started off the evening with a Haupia-Tini - a refreshing concoction of mango rum, coconut water rum, fresh coconut, and pineapple.

For dinner, I opted for the Crab-Topped Macadamia Nut Crusted Opah.  Served with a Maui Gold Pineapple Buerre Blanc Sauce, the fish was was tender and flaky, and I really loved the mac nut crust.

My husband ordered one of the specials of the evening, a fish duo consisting of Kabayaki Grilled Nairagi and Wasabi Ginger Crusted Onaga.

Each of my kids ordered the Keiki Bacon Mac and Cheese.  All kids meals come with local veggies and fresh pineapple.

Of course, we could not leave Hula Grill without indulging in a slice of Hula Pie.  Each month they offer a special flavor, and this month's is Cinnamon Toast Crunch!!

Needless to say, it was fantastic.

It was the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner!
