A Family-Friendly Weekend Getaway at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa

If you're planning a family vacation on the Big Island, the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa offers the perfect getaway!

The newly renovated, oceanfront hotel welcomes `ohana from around the world with spacious rooms, kid-friendly dining, and some of the most breathtaking views.

We were fortunate to stay in a suite which provided more than enough room for our family of 5.

The suite included a plush, pillowtop king bed, a pull-out sofa bed, and bunk beds.  Yes - bunk beds!  The kids were thrilled, because they've always wanted bunk beds!

The decor in the remodeled guest rooms evoked hues of nature.  I especially liked the pops of blues in the wall art and throw pillows.

The room also included a mini refrigerator, coffee maker, and large work desk.

I loved that there was ample seating in the suite - ottomans, a huge sectional, and bean bag chairs!

The bathroom was huge, with a walk-in shower, tub shower, a large vanity, and a separate water closet.

Two balconies opened up to a gorgeous view of the ocean and pools.

Of course my kids could not get enough of the pools at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa.

A children's pool with a water slide and a sand-bottom pool beckoned the kids (and nene geese!) each day.

Small pool toys are even provided for the keiki!
Every afternoon, "pool pleasers," such as cheesecake bites, are passed out to guests.

There is also an infinity pool, and all of the pools are open 24 hours a day!

Shade can be hard to come by near the pools, so get there early to snag a lounge chair under an umbrella.

Anaeho'omalu Bay is also just a short walk away for those who prefer to frolic in the ocean.

On the way to the beach, guests will pass the ancient Ku`uali`i and Kahapapa Fishponds.

The Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa seamlessly ties together the island's history with the present day through cultural activities, a twice-weekly sunset luau, and even the decor.

The new porte corchere, lobby, and Paniolo Terrace is just so welcoming - you can't help but want to just sit down at relax!

The coffee shoppe, Aka`ula Lanai, has recently been refreshed as well, and transitions to a lobby bar at sunset.

Hawaii Calls Restaurant & Lounge is another dining option on property, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner (keiki menus available).

Other services and amenities include a fitness center, spa, business center, valet or self-parking, a tennis court, and more.

The Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa also offers guests some of the most amazing views.

I experienced some of the most stunning sunsets ever while there!

Our family had a fantastic getaway at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa.

Hopefully we can stay a lot longer the next time!
