In a 24-hour period I went to Herringbone Waikiki twice - once for pupus and cocktails, and then again for brunch the very next morning!

Buffalo Octopus |
Boardwalk Fries |
Bok Choy & Mushroom |
I was excited to finally try the Buffalo Octopus, which had a nice kick to it.
The Bok Choy & Mushrooms were tossed in an island vinaigrette and served with crispy taro.
My friends and I stayed until closing, and the next morning I went back to Herringbone for Brunch!
Garlic Shrimp & Grits |
Biscuits & Pono Pork Gravy |
California Burrito |
Okinawan Sweet Potato Hash |
The California Burrito was stuffed with eggs, carne asada, potatoes, and cheese. It was huge, and I thought it was good (I love Mexican food!). For my side I opted for the Okinawan Sweet Potato Hash. The dish was just bursting with color!
My friend ordered the Biscuits & Pono Pork Gravy - homemade buttermilk biscuits, black pepper pork gravy, and porchetta. I had tried that dish during a brunch event and it was one of my faves, however my friend thought that although the pork was tasty, it was a little dry, and would have preferred a fattier, more succulent cut.
I had the same server for both visits, and service was great both times.
Herringbone is definitely one of my new favorite restaurants on the island!
