La Cucina

This past weekend, we dined at La Cucina with a few couples from our neighborhood. The last time my hubby and I had dined at La Cucina together was probably in 2013, before our boys were born.  Although it's been about five years since then, our favorite dishes are still on the menu.

We started off with the Melanzane Parmigiana - eggplant sauteed with garlic and mozzarella in tomato sauce and topped with Parmesan.

For my entree, I had the Tagliolini Aragosta - chopped lobster in a light tomato sauce. I ate this so fast, the food was still steaming when I took the last bite.

The hubby ordered the Osso Bucco - it was so tender he didn't even need a knife to cut the veal.

We could not resist ordering the creme brulee cheesecake for dessert.  I was planning to take home half of it for later, but we ended up devouring the entire slice (it was a big one!).

Nothing has changed from before - the food is still outstanding, but comes out at a snail's pace since everything is made to order in a very small kitchen. Regardless, the food is well worth the wait - just don't plan to dine here if you're in a rush to catch a movie or an airplane.
