Visit Tokyo: Umauma

Our first night in Tokyo our party of 9 had set out to dine at a restaurant in the shopping complex of Shibuya Hikarie.

Unfortunately, the wait was an hour, so we decided to look for another restaurant that could take all 9 of us, which we knew could be a challenge.

Luckily, Umauma put together seats for all of us (after the server got over the shock of me telling her we had a party of 9).

Japanese-style Rolled Omelet

Bite Size Gyoza

Roasted Pork Ramen

Tonkotsu Ramen

Kaku Highball
Everyone ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, and only one person ordered the Roasted Pork Ramen.

The Tonkotsu Ramen was topped with pork, bean sprouts, mushrooms, and green onions.  The Roasted Pork Ramen had the same toppings, but also had a soft boiled egg, and the noodles were thinner.

Many who ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen thought the broth was really good.  The Gyoza was delish, and it was easy to eat several since they were mini.

The Japanese-Style Rolled Omelet was filled with cod roe.

Umauma was a great last-minute alternative for dinner!
