Art Workshops at Art Explorium

I am always on the look out for fun activities for my two kids because I think it's a great opportunity for them to experience new things.  Most recently, I discovered the art workshops at Art Explorium in Kaimuki.  The studio offers open studio time, art workshops, summer camps, and even a kids' night out!

My kids attended the cartooning class for ages 5 and up.  The fee for the class was reasonably priced at $20 a child and signing up online was very easy and convenient.  When I picked them up from class, their arms were full of paintings!  The artist had allowed them to take home some of his originals and they also had pages of their own sketches using techniques they had just learned.  They both enjoyed the class and I thought the experience was well worth it.

The art studio is large and spacious.

Cade shows me a brush stroke he learned in class.

Art Explorium offers classes on various topics and feature many different community artists and projects.  They add new classes to their calendar all the time so be sure to check out their site!  Art Explorium also offers classes for little artists ages 2-5.
