Zetton, Inc., the company that brought Aloha Table Waikiki, Goofy Cafe & Dine,
Heavenly Island Lifestyle, and Paris.Hawaii to Waikiki, recently opened its new venture in Waikiki - ZIGU!
What was once an old, wooden apartment building is now a restaurant offering Japanese cuisine with a focus on incorporating local ingredients (ZIGU translates to Local - Eat).

My personal fave was the Local Ahi and Kona Kanpachi Poke Sushi. Sea asparagus and seaweed added to the texture of the dish, and it was just so fresh and tasty!
Other faves were the Apple Wood Smoked Local Egg Potato Salad (the smokiness really made the dish stand out), the Kauai Shrimp (many raved about the basil aioli), the Seared Kona Kanpachi (the sesame sauce was delish!), the Ahi Tuna Kama Cheek (the teriyaki glaze was so good!), and the Rice Omelet (so flavorful, and I just love cilantro!).
And let's not forget the drinks!
