I
was a contestant in the Miss Chinatown USA pageant many (many) years ago when I
met Miss Chinatown Chicago who had the most amazing skin. She was a loyal user of La Mer and as soon as
I touched down in Honolulu, I purchased a pot of that pricey face cream in
hopes it would give me the same dewy skin.
That was my first lesson in learning how to care for my skin in
accordance with my environment. The rich
(in more ways than one) cream worked great on her skin in Chicago’s cold
winters, but was just too much for my combination skin in tropical Hawaii.
Recalling
this, I jumped at the chance to sample a skincare line called Pour Moi - the first climate-smart skincare line specifically developed
to address the humidity and temperatures where you live. Pour Moi says when the weather changes, so should your skincare. But this doesn’t mean only between seasons,
it includes when you travel to varying climates. I love that I can use Pour Moi’s Tropical Day
Cream daily at my home in Hawaii and use their Desert Day Cream on my annual
trips to Las Vegas or the Polar Day Cream when I travel abroad in the
winter. They also offer a Temperate Day
Cream for climates with mild temperatures and normal humidity. The four Day Creams use CEBs (climate energized beautifiers) to help promote
and retain moisture no matter your location around the world.
The creams are light and apply
easily. They have a light pleasant scent
naturally and do not leave your skin feeling greasy. I also love that the bottles twist to on and
off positions with a cover that makes them easy to travel with. The day creams retail for $35 a bottle on
Pour Moi’s website and their entire skincare line is non-toxic, vegan, and manufactured
in France because the water in France is one of the purest sources in the world. So now, wherever my next destination may be, I will be set with one of Pour Moi day creams!
Under the bottle cap, it twists on and off to avoid spills when traveling. |
