There are so many great, free museums you can visit while in Washington, D.C., and although our time was limited in the area, we tried to visit as many museums as we could.
One of them was Smithsonian's The National Museum of American History.
In this museum, objects representing the nation in areas of science, technology, sociology, and culture are on display.
Such objects include presidential belongings, historical artifacts, and pop culture memorabilia.

They loved pretending to give a speech as the President of the United States of America, creating their own icons, and driving a virtual tractor.
We only had a couple of hours to spend at The National Museum of American History, so I didn't get to browse as much as I wished I could, but it was definitely an educational and informative place to visit while in DC.
