Visit Colorado: Beau Jo's

Whenever we visit different states, we look up the must-eat foods, and in Colorado, Colorado-style pizza, or "Mountain Pie," was a must.

We went to Beau Jo's to try this popular dish.

The Motherlode

Dude Ranch

Kiddie Beaughetti
Macaroni & Cheese

Cheesecake Cookie Skillet

The mountain pies were amazing!  The crust is braided, forming a border to allow for a generous amount of toppings.  Honey is served along with it the pizzas, so you can drizzle it on the crust if you wish.

The Motherlode was full of salami, pepperoni, bacon bits, meatballs, Italian sausage, ham, and cheese.  If you are a meat-eater, you will love this pizza!

The Dude Ranch was equally good - topped with chicken, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese, and ranch sauce.

Kids meals are just $6 and include a side and drink. The Beaughetti is spaghetti served in a garlic bread bowl!

I was so full from mountain pie that I nearly decided to pass on dessert, until I saw Cheesecake Cookie Skillet on the dessert menu.  Creamy, luscious cheesecake was covered in Beau Jo's Chocolate Chip Cookie.  It was divine!

Service was really good, and Beau Jo's was definitely a great place to try Colorado-style pizza!
