Honolulu Skewer House

I recently met a friend at Honolulu Skewer House, where all sorts of proteins and veggies are grilled right in front of you. 

We ordered the following:  Beef, Beef Brisket with Tendon, Lamb, Black Pork Belly, Pork Wrapped Enoki, Chicken Thigh, Chicken Skin, Crab Ball with Roe, Mini Sausage, King Oyster Mushroom.

You can choose from amongst four different flavors of sauces for your skewered food - Original Soy Sauce, House Special Mild Seasoning, House Special Spicy Seasoning, Flaming Hot.

We ordered several different skewers to share, and we concurred that the Black Pork Belly was definitely a fave.

My friend actually enjoyed the non-skewered dishes a lot more.

He loved the Garlic Sauce that accompanied the Hanging Pork Belly!

Foil pan dishes took an extremely long time - we got the Mushroom Medley over an hour after we ordered!  We were told those dishes only take 15 minutes, so I'm not sure if they just forgot about it or if there was some sort of mix up with our order.  Fortunately, the rest of the dishes came out quite quickly.

We were completely stuffed from dinner, but we had to try dessert.

Both desserts we ordered were light, and if I had to choose a favorite between the two desserts, it would be the Taro Pancake.  The Sweet Chinese Bun looked really yummy, but it just tasted liked plain, grilled bread to me.

The grilled fruit is given to all guests. 

There are a lot of options to choose from at Honolulu Skewer House, and it's worth going with a group so you can try multiple items.
