Romano's Macaroni Grill

While I love Italian food, I never had an urge to try Romano's Macaroni Grill, until we received a few gift cards for Christmas. After a long week, we decided to treat ourselves to an Italian feast on Friday night, and invited the hubby's sister and daughter to join us.

I thought it we would have to wait for a table at 6 pm on a Friday night, but to my surprise, we were seated right away. My twin sons started to doodle on the paper table liners right away.

As soon as our waiter came around to greet us, we put in the orders for the boys - mac + cheese and chicken strips. Their dishes came out in lightening speed, which was nice since the boys were starving.

We decided to share a few appetizers ....

signature mac + cheese bites

baked prosciutto + mozzarella

rosemary bread (which you now have to pay for)

It was a lot to start off with, and by the time our entrees came, we were all pretty full ...

lasagne bolognese

pollo caprese

Thankfully the hubby and I shared the pollo caprese, which was the perfect amount of food for two. I liked that the dish came with a mound of greens.

Although we were all busting out of our pants by the end of our meal, we could not help but try the Mascarpone Cannolis, which are a new item at Romano's.

Service was excellent and the food was delicious and very filling. We will definitely return in the future, with or without gift cards!
