Tiny Pyramid

JJ French Bistro & Pastry in Kaimuki closed earlier this year, but has since re-opened with a new name and in a new location - Tiny Pyramid in Kalihi.

You'll find the same delectable desserts, along with a menu of savory dishes.

Nadia and I met a friend there, and each of us ended up ordering the Four-Course Menu dinner ($36; $32 option also available with select entrees).

 Course One:
Cream of Corn Soup with Blue Crab Meat
We all started with the soup for the first course, which was a very tasty option.

Course Two:
Baked Oysters

Lao Roll

Baked Lobster Avocado

I had the Baked Lobster Avocado for my second course.  Baguettes were topped with lobster, a sweet chili aioli, cheese, and served on an avocado spread.  It was delish!

Third Course:

Lobster Pad Thai
We all ordered the Lobster Pad Thai for our entree.  I enjoyed it and thought the flavors were tangy, yet mild.
Dessert:

Lilikoi Cheesecake

Strawberry Shortcake

Guava Cheesecake
I decided to get the Guava Cheesecake (I had the Lilikoi Cheesecake before at JJ's and loved it) - it  was amazing!  It was so rich and creamy - just the way I like cheesecakes.  The guava glaze added a pleasant sweet / tart flavor.

Service was very friendly, and dinner was great, but the desserts were definitely my favorite part of the meal.
