Liliha Bakery's soft opening in Macy's at Ala Moana Center is today!
Yesterday I had a chance to preview the new location and some of the eats.
You'll find the same tantalizing display of both sweet and savory treats, as well as the same menu faves.

I tried one of the new menu items, Garlic Fried Rice, as well as the Waffard (a waffle + custard), which was introduced a few years ago at the Nimitz location.

It was the perfect combo of sweet and savory! The fried rice was tasty, and not too garlicky. I really liked the Waffard - especially with the yummy custard. The crispy waffle and the creamy custard created a nice contrast. I'm not usually a sweets person when it comes to breakfast foods, but I enjoyed this!
I also took home a Pineapple Round, and it was one of the best pineapple cakes I've ever had. So moist, fluffy, and with just the right amount of sweetness and tartness.

If you visit during the soft opening, keep in mind that it's just that - soft opening. I can honestly say I had excellent service at the event, and my server was very attentive and friendly, but you can imagine how many people are excited to visit the new location. There may still be kinks to work out, but don't hesitate to give feedback (be kind, of course).
Coming soon to this location: waitlist by texting (so you can shop while you wait for a table), a fresh juice bar, tapioca drinks, nitro cold brew coffee, and alcoholic drinks!
Whether you want the famous Coco Puffs or the best-selling Hot Cakes, or maybe one of the many other local comfort food faves, stop by the new, conveniently-located Liliha Bakery at Ala Moana Center!
Grand Opening will be on March 22.
