Il Lupino Trattoria & Wine Bar Welcomes New Chef


Last week I attended a media event at Il Lupino Trattoria & Wine Bar, where we met new Executive Chef Marino Rosato.

At the event, Chef Marino, who hails from Italy, explained how he wants to let his food speak for itself.  He uses simple, yet bold flavors, using just the right amount so you can still taste the fish, or the vegetable - whatever it is on your plate.

We were fortunate to try out a number of dishes, both familiar faves of the restaurant, as well as new menu items:

Bolognese

Tagliata di manzo

Pasta Salad

Roasted Artichokes

Aquapazza

Arancine Siciliani

Salumi & Formaggi

Rucola Salad
There were many raves for the salad, the steak, the pasta salad, the arancini, and the artichokes.

I absolutely loved the artichokes, as well as the pasta salad, with its delightful pesto.

The classic bolognese was delish as well, and you can't go wrong with a cheese and charcuterie board!

Il Lupino also has an extensive wine list, and they offer the best in classic cocktails.

Il Lupino Trattoria & Wine Bar offers a 20% off discount with kama`aina ID, as well as happy hour (excluding holidays) 2pm - 6:30pm and 9:30pm - 10:30pm.  

Chef Marino uses fresh ingredients, imported Italian cheeses, hand-cut meats, and local produce and seafood to create a menu of inspired, classic dishes that are sure to please.  

That was my first visit to Il Lupino Trattoria & Wine Bar, and I'm eager to return!
