While in Auckland, we caught a rugby game at Eden Park - the Highlanders vs Blues.
We were delighted to find out that with every ticket purchase is complimentary public transportation, because there is no general public parking on game days at Eden Park.
We ended up catching the train, which stops right across the street from Eden Park.
Upon arrival at the stadium, we were given Blues flags, and the kids participated in some of the on-site activities.
They enjoyed the lively commentary by other spectators, and cheered along with each score.
Of course one of my favorite things about any sports game is the food!
We indulged in typical stadium food, such as fries, chicken fingers, and ice cream.
Steak and Rosemary Pie - New Zealand is popular for savory pies! |
It was a very fun night at our very first rugby game!
