When we returned from a week in California, my friend sent me a message to check out Hamada General Store. I thought they closed 10 years ago?
They're back, but this time as a restaurant, operated by the original owner's son and a couple of his friends. Once she mentioned that the owner is formerly of Home Bar & Grill, I knew it was going to be good.
One Saturday morning, the twins and I were running errands in the area, so we decided to do a drive-by to see if there was parking. As luck would have it - two people were about to leave - it was meant to be!

The food was prepared quicker than I had anticipated, given that they've been open for less than a month. When I opened plate of chicken wings, the wings were still steaming!
The fish sandwich was very crispy and served with a very generous portion of crinkle cut french fries. Serving it with potato chips in the sandwich is a brilliant idea on their part - it adds extra crunch to every bite!

The Daily Specials are posted every morning on their Instagram page - I'm keeping my eye out for the HGS Pan Roast!
