When you're hosting 12 people for dinner on a budget, family-style dining is the way to go. Since we wanted a place that was casual and convenient, we chose Golden Wheel in Aiea. It's a small hole in the wall joint that has three big round tables and about five 4-tops. Apparently one of my family-members is a regular here, because when he walked in, one of the servers greeted him by name!
As we were waiting for everyone to arrive, I thought that maybe we should have placed our order ahead of time since we had a large party, but my concern was put to rest when the food started coming out the kitchen with lightening speed:

My favorite dishes of the evening were the mongolian beef, beef broccoli, and crispy gau gee. The fried rice did not have much flavor, although my 6 year old gave it two thumbs up and thought it was better than Panda Express! Next time we'll add a noodle dish to the spread.
