The last time I visited Waimea Canyon State Park, clouds obstructed most of our view.
But on my visit a couple of months ago, the sky was clear, and I could see for miles.
The greens, reds, and browns of the canyon were just gorgeous, and the wind- and rain-swept terrain was such a sight to see.
The drive was lengthy and it was a quick visit at the lookout, but it's definitely worth stopping at this natural wonder.
There is a parking fee for visitors to Waimea Canyon State Park, but it is waived for kama`aina with proof of ID.
