I had no idea that the Pig and the Lady offered a tasting menu, but my friend said she heard it was really great and wanted to try it. When I made the reservation for our small party of 4, the staff member said they currently did not have a set menu, but the manager would be able to work with me. When I spoke to the manager, Sean, he said they currently had a $60 tasting menu and emailed it to me right away. It looked delicious and we didn’t change a thing. Since it was a special occasion, he even printed a personalized message on the top of the menu.
I loved the presentation of our first three small bites that came on the wood board. It definitely was a great introduction and got us excited about the dishes to come. Next up was their delicious Burmese Tea Salad and the must order Le Fried Chicken.
Something I hadn’t had before at the restaurant was the Kauai Shrimp, Duroc Pork Chop, and Grilled Romano Beans. The pork chop is not pictured because we were having such a delicious time that I missed it as well as the two desserts we had: lilikoi malasadas and the Sundae Funday. But I can assure you, it was all excellent!
We’ve always enjoyed dining at the restaurant, but this dinner elevated our experience at the Pig and the Lady. If you are looking for something a little different from their usual, a tasting menu is sure to impress you and your guests.
