It's a straightforward recipe. For the chocolate chunks, I used candy bars I bought at Whole Foods Market late last year, and I also added some chocolate chips.
The cookies turned out great, with lots of help from the littlest!
Alex's Chocolate Chunk Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 c butter, softened
- 1 c brown sugar
- 1/2 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 t vanilla
- 2 1/2 c flour
- 3/4 t baking soda
- 1 c dark chocolate candy, chopped
- 1 c chocolate chips
Directions:
- In a medium bowl, cream together butter and sugars.
- Mix in eggs and vanilla.
- Mix in flour and baking soda.
- Stir in chocolate chunks and chips.
- Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto parchment-line baking sheet.
- Bake in a preheated 375-degree F oven for 8-9 minutes.
- Let sit on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire rack.
