Deliver and Dash

These days, ''deliver and dash" has become the norm.  Whether you get take-out or groceries delivered, or friends come by to drop off goodies, there's little to no greeting upon delivery.

It's just "deliver and dash."

I've done a few "deliver and dash" swaps.  I delivered food to friends and got curry in return.  I've even gotten omiyage and butter mochi from Nadia!

I think it's fun to drop off deliveries when people are least expecting it, but it's also sad that you can't give your friends a hug when they drop off goodies.

There are many things from our "temporary" new normal that I hope stays permanent, like the thoughtful deliveries.  Because the kindness and generosity shouldn't have to disappear once the restrictions do.
