To-Go at The Kahala

The Kahala Hotel & Resort offers all day to-go menus!  I was fortunate to try some of their popular lunch items, which are perfect for a picnic or a day at the beach!

Fried Ahi Poke Musubi (a Hoku's Favorite)

Island Bento - yakitori chicken, grilled catch of the day, Portuguese sausage, furikake rice, steamed broccoli, Japanese pickles, chocolate chip cookie

Kahala Bento - teriyaki steak, misoyaki butterfish, fried chicken, furikake rice, steamed broccoli, Japanese pickles, Kahala brownie

The bentos are packed with all kinds of yummy foods, and I loved that dessert is included!  What a treat!

You get a great variety of local favorites.  The Kahala Bento was my favorite of the two, because I just love miso butterfish and fried chicken!  And the Kahala brownie was so decadent!

The Fried Ahi Poke Musubi is a very popular dish, and I would highly recommend it as a must-try.

If you plan on picking up food for lunch, I suggest you schedule it for after 11:30am, due to the transition from breakfast to lunch.
