Chicken & Brisket

A friend sent me the link to Chicken and Brisket's profile page on Instagram, and I placed an order online within minutes of seeing their post, announcing $5 off their classic fried chicken, this week only from 2:30 - 4:30 pm (must use discount code). They described their $10 boxes as consisting of "over 2 pounds (12 crispy & juicy pieces) of breaded deep fried chicken thighs + choice of dipping sauce.

I scheduled my pick up for 2:30, and received confirmation of my order via email.  Then about half an hour before my scheduled pick up time, they sent me a text with directions for curbside pick up.

The drive home was tortuous - the aroma of fresh fried chicken had me wanting to open the box on the way home so badly!

When I first opened my box of chicken on the kitchen counter, I was impressed with how neatly packed the chicken was.  And on top of that, the fried chicken was still crispy and hot!

After sampling a few bites of the chicken on its own, I proceeded to open my container of teri-mayo dipping sauce (they have 10 dipping sauces to chose from; one is included with your order) and from then on, each bite of chicken was preceded by a dip of sauce. I usually prefer to eat my fried chicken 'naked' (without sauce), but for some reason I kept dipping and dipping my chicken in this sauce!

I also tried the brisket fried noodles, since I am a fan of any kind of noodles. It came with a generous portion of brisket, char siu, kamaboko, cabbage, onions, and carrots. It was a bit greasy, but still delicious!!
