Guests who prefer a dine-in experience can enjoy a Chinese New Year-inspired prix fixe Valentine’s Day dinner throughout the weekend. In a nod to his heritage, Chef Lee has crafted a four-course menu featuring an appetizer choice of Crab and Avocado Salad or Candy Cane Beet Salad; pasta course of Shiitake and Cremini Lasagna or Lobster “Congee” ($12 supplemental charge); entrée choice of Seared Scallops with Black Vinegar Reduction or Five-Spice Pork Belly or Maitake Confit (vegetarian option); and dessert choice of Molten Dark Chocolate Brownie with Peanut Bourbon Gelato or Mango Panna Cotta with Macadamia Nut Brittle and ‘Ulu and Rum Gelato. The special menu will be served Friday, February 12, through Sunday, February 14, priced at $85/person, with optional beverage pairing for an additional cost of $45/person. The regular a la carte menu will not be served during this period; however, the Chef’s Tasting ($165/person, beverage pairing $75 additional) will be available (reservations required in advance, see website for details).

PAI Honolulu is currently open Wednesday through Sunday, 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., for dine-in, take-out, curbside pickup and island-wide delivery. In addition to the reconfigured, well-spaced indoor dining room, the restaurant offers covered-patio seating for a peaceful, downtown outdoor-dining experience. The Pau Hana at PAI menu featuring appetizers ranging from $5 to $7 and draft beer, well drinks and wine, all priced between $5 and $9, is available from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., for bar seating only.
