When I was invited by Kailua Town to try the breakfast at Easy Que I flipped at the chance (and not only because breakfast is my favorite meal of the day). I've already dined at their sister restaurant, Over Easy, and loved it, but hadn't tried the restaurant since they opened a few years ago.
If you're being cautious with COVID precautions and prefer to dine outdoors the restaurant has lots of outdoor seating on the patio surrounding the restaurant with ample space between the tables for you to feel socially distanced. I would recommend to get there early though, since at one point on the Sunday morning that we were there, there was a line of over a dozen people waiting to be seated.
We ordered almost everything off the breakfast menu. I think the Bruleed Banana Pudding Waffle was easily my favorite. It's not something I'd normally order since I typically lean towards the savory, but the waffles were perfectly cooked (still crispy even after having them sit out a while while we took photos) and the bruleed topping was nice and light and not too sweet. To be honest I could eat a whole bowl full of it (and I hear the chef makes it fresh himself every day).

These were the corn cakes but I no longer see them on the menu. I guess they change it up frequently! |
The selection of house "sauces." |
Whatever you do, be sure to try their house BBQ sauces. My favorite was the green sauce, which was spicy and not at all like what I consider or know as a traditional BBQ sauce. The other sauces were yummy as well and went great with our pork belly dessert.
Even though we ordered the whole menu (with some pork belly for "dessert") the bill was still very affordable for five people. So you can easily make breakfast at Easy Que a regular visit.
