Last week we scored tickets to Pearlridge's "Movies & Munchies" event. Tickets were free but in very high demand (tickets sold out within minutes of going live). The event was a family-friend drive-in movie screening of Disney's Onward, and it was held in the parking lot fronting Macy's and Pieology.
We got there at when the gates opened so that we could get a good spot and shop for food and snacks to enjoy during the show. We decided to order take-out from Beer Lab Hawaii, since Sistah was in the kitchen on this particular evening. Sistah, formed by two friends, started out as a food truck, but due to COVID-19, they've been operating out of Beer Lab Pearlridge's kitchen Tuesdays thru Fridays.
We ordered the chicken katsu with mushroom gravy and the cheeseburger to-go. Both were delicious! The chicken katsu came with the sauce on the side (unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the sauce!) so that the katsu stays crisp. You can also order your katsu with regular katsu sauce, but I highly recommend the mushroom gravy.
The wagyu mushroom cheeseburger was equally amazing. It's one of their best sellers, and I can see why. It's thick, juicy, and required a lot of napkins. I also loved the crispy crinkle cut fries that it came with.
