UNIQLO Hawaii is celebrating its third anniversary by saying “Mahalo Arigato” to its customers by partnering with locally beloved artist, Heather Brown, to launch an exclusive collection of Aloha shirts, UT (UNIQLO T-shirts) and tote bags.
The new collection, which includes styles for men, women and kids, features Brown’s signature tropical prints inspired by the natural beauty of Hawaii. The Heather Brown Collection rolls out on Friday, May 28 at UNIQLO Ala Moana Center store alongside locally-crafted giveaways to celebrate the anniversary.
"Having the opportunity to display my artwork on UNIQLO pieces for their third anniversary is truly an honor," said Heather Brown. "We hope our collaborative designs encourage people to support local artists and care for our islands."
In an effort to support Heather’s mission of having her artwork inspire people to take a proactive approach in caring for Hawaii’s environment, UNIQLO partnered with Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii to activate a beach cleanup with employees and friends. As a result, 23 volunteers collected 171 pounds of trash with over 300 pieces of plastic from Ala Moana Beach Park.
“Partnering with Heather Brown and Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii is our way to thank the community for welcoming us throughout the years,” said Haruka Karino, Business Manager of UNIQLO Hawaii. “As we move forward into the future, we hope to establish deeper connections with local businesses and organizations to continue to show our appreciation for Hawaii.”
The celebrations continue with locally-crafted in-store mahalo gifts for customers. From May 28, shoppers will receive a custom-made anniversary popcorn from Hurricane Popcorn with every $50 spent. From June 4, shoppers will receive a snack bag from Aloha Edibles with every $50 spent. All while supplies last. Terms and conditions apply.
In addition to the Heather Brown Collection, UNIQLO is excited to announce two new UT collections launching during the anniversary celebrations. The collections feature iconic video games and shows such as “Animal Crossing: New Horizons” and “ONE PIECE – Land of Wano”.
Launching May 28 in UNIQLO Ala Moana, UNIQLO’s Animal Crossing line was inspired by the game’s unique animal characters in the New Horizons world. Shoppers can enjoy the collection on their Nintendo SwitchTM and visit UNIQLO Island to search for the custom designs. For anime fans, UNIQLO will also launch the ONE PIECE – Land of Wano Collection on June 4.
