Istanbul Hawaii is one of Oahu's current hot spots for lunch or dinner. The restaurant is a family affair, with a mother and daughter at the helm in the kitchen. I've dined here a handful of times for lunch and have never had a disappointing experience.
For my birthday, my brother and sister-in-law ordered take-out from Istanbul for our family of 7. The menu is ideal for family-style dining, and we enjoyed getting a taste of the different items on the menu, all of which were rich and flavorful! I discovered the Meze Platter on a recent visit (thanks to my friend who wanted to order it for us) and ever since then I recommend it to anyone who's going to Istanbul with a group of people. This was my first time trying the Hatay Kunefe for dessert (I usually order the baklava). I was skeptical at first, but decided to try it since my friend said it was really good. I ended up liking it a lot - it was crispy and sweet.
On their
website you can scan the menu, make a reservation (via Open Table), or place an online order!
