Disney Ice Cream Roundup

Split single scoops from Salt and Straw

We had a lot of ice cream during our trip to Disneyland! Here’s a roundup of our favorite shops!

1. Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor.  Located on Main Street in Disneyland Park, this shop was the family favorite as they serve Dreyers brand ice cream.  We had ice cream here twice and I also felt it was the best value. Mobile ordering is offered here, but even if the line is long; it moves quickly.

Ice cream in waffle bowls! Yum!

2. Salt and Straw. Located in Downtown Disney, this famous Oregon ice cream shop makes their homemade  ice cream in small batches and you can definitely taste the quality. This was my favorite ice cream shop so we came here two days in a row.  Pro tip: upgrade to a split scoop for $.50 so you can try two flavors!

Seasonal flavor: Jack o’ Lantern Pumpkin Bread

3. Cozy Cone Motel. Located in Radiator Springs in Disney’s California Adventure Park, they offer  yummy soft-serve ice cream in chocolate, vanilla and chocolate-vanilla twist flavors. When we went, you had to order with the mobile app so have that handy!

Soft serve!

4. Dole Whip. It counts as ice cream right? We got ours from The Tropical Hideaway at Disneyland park.  They offer dole whip cones, swirls, floats, specialty float - Chile-mango whip, and snacks!

Raspberry and pineapple swirl, dole whips,
 and PB&J mochi!

5. Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop. If you are looking to indulge, then this is the ice cream shop for you. Located at the Pacific Wharf at DCA, they offer up massive sundaes, ice cream cones, shakes and hot drinks all made with their famous chocolate. Since it was chilly out, I also had a hot chocolate. We enjoyed our sundaes but ultimately felt they were too sweet.
