Broadway in Hawaii Announces 2022-2023 Season Featuring Honolulu Premiere of HAMILTON

Broadway in Hawaii announced that a brand-new season is coming to Blaisdell Concert Hall. The season includes the Hawaii debut of BEAUTIFUL – THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL and the revolutionary blockbuster HAMILTON, as well as a much-anticipated encore engagement of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s CATS. Season tickets for the three shows start at $181 and are on sale now at www.broadwayinhawaii.com. Subscribers have the option of getting tickets to the rescheduled engagement of JERSEY BOYS when purchasing season tickets.

The 2022-2023 Broadway in Hawaii season includes three shows.

 

APRIL 19–24, 2022

BEAUTIFUL – THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL tells the inspiring true story of King’s remarkable rise to stardom, from being part of a hit songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin, to her relationship with fellow writers and best friends Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history. Along the way, she made more than beautiful music, she wrote the soundtrack to a generation.

DECEMBER 15, 2022 – JANUARY 29, 2023

HAMILTON is the story of America then, told by America now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, HAMILTON has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre—a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education. With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire,HAMILTON is based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography. SEPTEMBER 13-25, 2022

JERSEY BOYS. They were just four guys from Jersey, until they sang their very first note. They had a sound nobody had ever heard...and the radio just couldn’t get enough of. But while their harmonies were perfect on stage, off stage it was a very different story -- a story that has made them an international sensation all over again. This show contains authentic Jersey language. Recommended for ages 12 and older.JERSEY BOYS is not included in the 2022-2023 season package.
