Visit Hilo: Da Phatt Box

In an effort to keep trying new places in Hilo, I suggested we try Da Phat Boxx - a food cart that frequently operates by Kai Store.

They offer a small menu of local-style dishes.  

Pinakbet

Char Siu Smoked Meat

The Char Siu Smoked Meat was good, but I wish they put onions.  Smoked meat & onions is the best combo!

My friend said the Pinakbet was okay, but was missing some key ingredients.

We both thought the portion sizes were pretty small (they gave a lot of rice, but the main entree was pretty small, and not "phatt," as my friend kept joking).

The employees were really nice, however, and if they're popping up nearby and I see something on their menu that I'm craving, I may give them another try.
